About Us

The Hampshire County Democratic Club was created to promote good government and participation of citizens in government at the federal, state and local level. The Club works to promote interest and participation in registration and voting, while supporting the objectives, principles, platforms and candidates of the Democratic Party.

Membership in the Club is open to all Hampshire County registered Democrats, upon payment of annual dues which are currently $20.00. The Club meets on the second Monday of the month, (check calendar for dates) at 7:00 pm. at the Health Department in Augusta. Parking and meeting room entrance are at the rear of the building. You do not have to be a member to attend, but you may not vote on issues. If you would like to become a member of the HCDC, please contact Dorothy Kengla, 304-496-7168,  or attend a meeting.

The Hampshire County Democratic Executive Committee is a separate entity, their sixteen members representing the eight election districts, having been elected every four years in the general election. Their meetings are generally held quarterly in conjunction with the Club meetings and are open to the public.

If you would like to be on an email or mailing list for notices of these meetings, as well as other events, please contact Dorothy Kengla, 304-496-7168, or dkengla@citlink.net, or on our Facebook page, Hampshire County WV Democrats.
