Small Electronics Recycling

  • What we recycle: cell phones, smart phones, flip phones, tablets, iPADs, and e-READERS (No laptops or desktop computers, though Dell takes those, as does the transfer station)
  • When: Wednesday Dec. 27th, and Saturday Dec. 30, 2023 8 am to 12 noon.
  • Where: Hampshire County Recycling Center, 55 Kerr Dr., off Dolan Dr., off Rt. 50, Augusta, WV
  • Why: to support Operation Shoebox, which sends care packages and phone cards to our soldiers

Details: We accept working and broken versions of the electronics mentioned above, along with charging cables (no leaking batteries, please). Back up your personal information before you come. Remove your SIM cards. We can erase your data if you haven’t already done so. We will package the items and ship them to Big Sky Recycling. They will be sure the items are ready for recycling and then donate the proceeds to Operation Shoebox. While you can send items yourself to Big Sky Recycling, they will only pay the shipping if there are 5 or more items in the box to be sent. You can find out more about Big Sky Recycling here. You can find out more about Operation Shoebox here.
